Basic Confidential Counsellor Training
Inhoud
Your employees drive your organisation. Despite this, reports of stress, verbal aggression and bullying are on the rise. That’s why every organisation has a confidential counsellor to provide its colleagues with additional support. This basic training gives confidential counsellors a clear idea of the scope of their duties. It also teaches the best ways to support and guide their colleagues.
Basic confidential counsellor training: legal framework
A confidential counsellor has a specific mandate and is bound by a legal framework. This means they need to be aware of exactly what is expected of them. We will take a closer look at:
- Psychosocial risks
- Internal and external procedures for psychosocial complaints
- A confidential counsellor’s role and status
Familiarisation with a confidential counsellor’s duties
We will focus on practical application: how to initiate and guide a confidential conversation. Participants will practice the basic attitudes required for a supportive conversation, listening skills and how to deal with emotions.
We will discuss informal requests for intervention or mediation between individuals. As part of this discussion, we will highlight the various aspects of problematic situations, such as dynamics between individuals or within a group or organisation. Participants are also provided with specific scenarios designed to teach them how to deal with conflicts.
A healthier working atmosphere
Do you want your confidential counsellors to have the tools they need to do their job properly? This is proof from you that you take the mental health of your employees seriously. It not only creates a healthier working atmosphere, but also builds trust between your organisation and its employees.
On completing their training, participants will receive a certificate.
